In response to a request from Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest (LSSW), Grace is gearing up to provide a respite care event on Saturday morning, November 3, 2018. A maximum of 24 children will be pre-registered by LSSW for this event. This is an amazing service opportunity for a very underserved community and will hopefully grow into a realized ministry here at Grace.
Prayerfully consider how you can help, contribute and VOLUNTEER! We will need at least 5 volunteers who have fingerprint clearance and additional volunteers that may require some background checks. This process is in the works, but there is plenty of room for you too. Please contact Margie Betz to get involved, don’t delay. Parents will drop off their children, ranging in age from babies to school age, at 9:00 am and pick them up at noon. We are planning a fun time with stories, snacks, crafts, videos, games and lunch. If this event is successful, we will consider it as a potential ongoing ministry as LSSW has asked of us.
